US TYPE L-2B FLIGHT JACKET -MIL-J-7448E MODEL- [JJ170YN]
Flight jacket for light zone (temperature 10C〜30C) and L-2 is a first a nylon flight jacket. In early 50s L-2A (MIL-J- and in late 50s it became L-2B (MIL-J-7448E). Like the MA-1, L-2B became a classic outer garment used for long period of time, from the 50s to the 80s.
The early type equipped oxygen tab and storm flap, and the lining was grey. In the mid-60s the lining was modified to blaze orange for high visibility during rescue. Then in the late 60s the epaulet was abolished and how it looked became almost identical to the MA-1.
The replacement of this jacket CWU-36P was issued in the late 70s but the L-2B was worn until the 80s by air crew and ground workers.
Our L-2B is based on the model with the epaulet and storm tab, rib of collar, hem, and sleeve is wool 100% just like the genuine model.
